Making a watermark for your graphics couldn't be simpler.
1. Open a blank Canvas 300 x 100 Transparent
2. Set your foreground colour to Null and your background colour to any colour (this will be deleted so it doesn't matter)
3. Grab the text tool and choose a biggish font ....I am using Broadway BT size 48.
If your text doesn't fit the canvas...either open a bigger canvas or choose a smaller font size.
4. Position your text in the middle of the canvas but DO NOT deselect.
5. Go to your layer palette, Right click on the floating layer and go to DELETE.
You should now see your name with no colour just marching ants round it
6. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow with these settings
Vertical & Horizontal = 2
Opacity = 90
Blur = 6
Colour = Black > OK
Add the drop shadow again but change the
Vertical & Horizontal to MINUS 2 > OK
7. Selections > Select None
8. File > Export > Picture Tube.
Then you can add this to any image you make simply by changing the size.
You can play around with the settings of the drop shadow if you don't like my settings.
Here are a few others that I have done with different fonts and drop shadows.
